Each summer program includes a final showcase of the students’ work. We seek Teaching Artists who have experience in an educational theatre setting in which they have successfully balanced a sound creative process with a quality product.

Responsibilities include: Teaching and rehearsing all musical numbers; Collaborating with the director and the rest of the production team; Playing piano for all rehearsals and performances; Collaborating with the teaching team on the camp-wide curriculum.

Applicants should possess:

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once

- A desire to practice collaboration

- Grace and a sense of humor under pressure

- A sense of playfulness balanced with a fierce work ethic

- The qualities necessary to be a positive role model for children and teenagers

- The ability to apply the “yes AND” rule of improv to the workplace

- Experience being bombarded with children and all their stuff and a good deal of noise, and thrive in that setting

Camp PGT includes daily classes and rehearsals, with showcases, performances, visiting artists, and several camp-wide creative activities throughout the summer. The full camp season is a five week commitment, including one staff week and four weeks of camp. Camp is held Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm at The Play Group Theatre’s facility in downtown White Plains, NY.
