On March 30th, Maestra is hosting OPENING NUMBER, our first fundraiser! We’d love it if you’d consider coming. Even better if you buy two tickets and bring someone with you! Individual tickets start at $150, and there are sponsorships available at a higher rate. Admission includes lots of food & an open bar, music, photos, and a kick-ass swag bag. Sherrie Maricle & The DIVA Jazz Orchestra‘s sister group, the jazz quintet “Five Play,” will provide the music, there will be a small silent auction, and we’re working on a few fun special guests, too. All of the proceeds from this party are going to help us build out the infrastructure for our education program which includes the technical workshops (including providing more scholarships for those who want to attend), doing the statistical work and expanding the timeline to educate the public about how far we are in our industry from gender parity, and securing our monthly guest speakers at meetings.
