Where We Are

WHERE WE ARE is a vigniette piece inspired by the collected maps of the Hand Drawn Map Association. From a set of directions given to a man en route to his child’s first college dropoff, to the map a woman’s body throughout the course of a lifetime, the source material is rich with humor, heartbreak, and humanity. With a dynamic cast of characters and a quirky, contemporary score, WHERE WE ARE is a celebration of what happens between Point A and Point B.

WHERE WE ARE can be performed by as few as four and as many as twelve performers.

WHERE WE ARE premiered in concert at Joe's Pub in 2024, and has been brought to life by Broadway and collegiate performers throughout the country since. Recent highlights include features in the Playbill Songwriter Series, an acoustic performance by Ana Villafañe, and a production by the BFA students at Oakland University!
