Sonia Yung-Hsaun Lee
Sonia Yung-Hsaun Lee is a pianist and music director from Taiwan living in New York City, currently working as Associate Music Director/Keyboard 2 on the International Tour of The Sound of Music in Asia. She has worked as Associate Music Director/Keyboard 1 on the Anastasia 2nd National Tour and as Associate/Assistant Music Director and Pianist on NYU Steinhardt productions of Wonderland, Gypsy, The Old Maid and the Thief, and Mahagonny.
In Taiwan, Sonia has served as Associate Music Director/Rehearsal Pianist/Copyist for musical productions and concerts, including I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Mandarin Version, When the Lotus Blooms, Mostly Broadway: The Musical Concert, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 the Concert, Taiwan Hólíwood, and Mulan the Musical.
She was the pianist for Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio, Tabernacle Women's Choir, Bamboosa Male Choir, YinQi Choir, and Shih-Yu Chorus, with whom she won the Golden Certificates in folklore with accompaniment at the 9th World Choir Games. She also worked as a staff pianist at National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei Philharmonic Foundation, and New York University.
Sonia received her Master's degree in Collaborative Piano with Musical Theatre concentration from NYU Steinhardt, where she studied with Prof. Stan Tucker; She also received a Master's in Classical Collaborative Piano from National Taiwan Normal University.
