Victoria Witmer

Biography

Victoria Witmer is a violist whose performance experience encompasses a wide variety of orchestral, opera, and chamber music repertoire spanning the Baroque through the very Contemporary.

Performing around the world, Ms. Witmer has held principal positions with the Sarasota Opera Orchestra and the Oper im Berg Festival Orchestra (Salzburg). She has also worked with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra, the Britten-Pears Orchestra in England, and the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra in Switzerland.

An avid chamber musician, she was a member of resident ensembles with Lincoln Center Stage, providing nightly concerts of classical masterworks, specially commissioned arrangements, and unique recital programs.

Ms. Witmer earned a Master of Arts, with Distinction, from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, where she subsequently completed a Postgraduate Certificate. Her Bachelor of Music in Performance is from Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music.
