Biography

Victoria is an actor/singer, musical director/pianist, composer/arranger and teacher. This past fall she was MD/Arranger for "Night and Day: Love Lost and Found Through the Eyes of Cole Porter" at Elmwood Playhouse where she won a Broadway World Award for Best Musical Direction and Orchestra. In fall '21 she was MD/Arranger for "Let's Fall In Love" at Florida Repertory Theatre (FL REP). According to NBC-2 in Fort Myers, "Equally impressive is the trio of musicians who accompany him (Evan Tyrone Martin), including pianist and longtime guest musical director, Victoria Casella, who also has a beautiful backup voice I would like to have heard even more of." She MD'd "Elliot & Me", a new musical about the life and times of famed songwriter Elliot Willensky for Hudson Theatre Works. During the pandemic it was also streamed for Laguna Playhouse and Sonoma Arts Theatre. Previously she was MD for "A Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder" at FL REP and MD/Arranger for "The Green Crow Caws" at the Irish Repertory Theatre, NYC. She was also awarded Broadway World Best Musical Direction for Regional Theater (Fort Myers/Naples, Florida) for her work on "Night and Day" at FL REP. Other MD credits with FL REP are: "Tenderly:The Rosemary Clooney Musical", MD/Creative Team for "Fascinatin' Gershwin" and MD for "Spelling Bee". Other credits: "Night and Day", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", "The "Full Monty", "Romance Romance", "Altar Boyz" for Theatre Barn. Acting credits: Susanna in "Daredevil" (Netflix, Season 2), Mrs. Aaronson in "The Gold" (NYMF), Marie (understudy) in "The Most Happy Fella" (Goodspeed). Book writer/ Arranger for "Where The Time Goes" (staged reading PlayLab 2019 FL REP and Hudson Theatre Works 2022). Skills: excellent sight reader, thorough knowledge of musical theater repertory, proficient in Italian and French.
