Biography

Victoria is an actor/singer, musical director/pianist, composer/arranger and teacher. Recent Musical Directing credits: "Lucky Stiff" (Florida Repertory Theatre); "A Little Night Music" (Bergen County Players). Previously Victoria musical directed (MD) a Pride Concert for New York City Opera at The Milford Theater and Performing Arts Center. Other MD projects were “Beehive” (FL Rep.), “Master Class” and “The Fantasticks” for Bergen County Players. Also this past season, she presented “Where The Time Goes”, a ‘60s musical where she co-wrote the book and did the musical arrangements at the Players Guild of Leonia (entire run sold out!). Previous staged readings at the Dramatists Guild (NYC), Hudson Theatre Works and FL Rep. She was also MD/Arranger for "Night and Day: Love Lost and Found Through the Eyes of Cole Porter" at Elmwood Playhouse where she won a Broadway World Award for Best Musical Direction and Orchestra. In fall '21 she was MD/Arranger for "Let's Fall In Love" at FL Rep. According to NBC-2 in Fort Myers, "Equally impressive is the trio of musicians who accompany him (Evan Tyrone Martin), including pianist and longtime guest musical director, Victoria Casella, who also has a beautiful backup voice I would like to have heard even more of." She MD'd "Elliot & Me", a new musical about the life and times of famed songwriter Elliot Willensky for Hudson Theatre Works. It was also streamed for Laguna Playhouse and Sonoma Arts Theatre. Other MD credits -- "The Green Crow Caws" at the Irish Repertory Theatre, NYC; "A Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder", "Tenderly:The Rosemary Clooney Musical" and "Spelling Bee". As MD/Arranger, she was awarded Broadway World Best Musical Direction for Regional Theater (Fort Myers/Naples, Florida) for her work on "Night and Day" at FL REP. Other MD/Arranger credits with FL REP also includes
"Fascinatin' Gershwin". For Theatre Barn: "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", "The "Full Monty", "Romance Romance" and "Altar Boyz". Acting credits: Susanna in "Daredevil" (Netflix, Season 2), Mrs. Aaronson in "The Gold" (NYMF), Marie (understudy) in "The Most Happy Fella" (Goodspeed). Skills: excellent sight reader, thorough knowledge of musical theater repertory, proficient in Italian and French.
