Victoria Carchietta

Biography

Victoria Carchietta is a multi-faceted musician who has performed globally. She currently serves as the flute and piccolo player on the second national tour of Lincoln Center Theater’s production of My Fair Lady. She made her Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall debut as first place winner of the Prima Volta Music Competition in 2019. Other recent performance venues in New York City include the National Arts Club, Urban Stages, the Skirball Center, and the Ukrainian Institute of America. She has received many honors including first prize in the 2020 New York Young Virtuoso Competition, second prize in the 2020 New York International Music Concours, and honorable mention in the 2021 FlootFire Virtual Soloist Competition. When not on tour, Victoria is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance at New York University studying under Soo-Kyung Park, with a minor in English literature. She is principal of the New York University Symphony Orchestra and has also had experiences in various chamber ensembles, contemporary music ensembles, and opera pit orchestras. Victoria is co-founder of the woodwind quintet Festoso Winds. She has taken part in Atlantic Music Festival, Orford Musique’s summer masterclasses, Music Academy International in Fiera di Primero, Italy, and the New York Youth Symphony Apprentice Conducting Program.
