She/Her

Biography

Vicki Larnach Hare is a composer, song writer, music producer and playwright dedicated to creating works that entertain and inspire.
Vicki spent nine years adapting Good Omens, acclaimed novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, into a musical, gaining her and co writers Jay James Moody and Jim Hare the Australian rights to stage the coveted property.
She spent six years in Venezuela playing, recording and teaching music and touring as concert keyboard player for singer Maria Conchita Alonso.
As a solo artist, Vicki’s chill out albums Lumia, Gardens In The Snow, Levitate, and children’s album, Leave It To Us are streamed and downloaded worldwide.
Her fascination for audio drama began when she produced, narrated and composed a soundtrack for audiobook ‘Why Women Weep’ by Marie Gai Oberlander.
She has since workshopped online The Water Code, her original Australian historic fantasy play with music, and during 2021-2023 wrote a quirky new musical podcast style drama called Ticket Please, currently in development.
A recipient of an Australia Council for the Arts grant for Good Omens the Musical (2017) and APRA AMCOS Creative Recovery Grant (2020) for The Water Code. Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin) has described Vicki’s work as “original and exciting for the listener”.
