Vaibu Mohan
Biography
Vaibu Mohan is a composer, lyricist, bookwriter, director, producer, and performer based in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently a graduate student at NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program specialising in lyric writing and book writing. Vaibu is also a Carnatic vocal musician and Bharatanatyam dancer and specialises in the intersectionality between Western and Indian music and art. Her first musical, Nayika, is currently in development through Arizona State University and The Phoenix Theatre Company. Production credits include The Color Cabaret which established a scholarship for BIPOC students at Arizona State University and Zoom for the Holidays, a virtual concert of all original holiday material which raised funds for artists in need during the pandemic.
