suhREEtah Briggs
Biography
suhREEtah is a writer and performer from West LOO-uh-vull, Kentucky, pushing musical theatre forward with TEETH: UH MORALITY PLAY—A surreal, one-woman Hip Hopera integrating live theatre and extended reality (XR) Technology. To stellar reviews, TEETH premiered as an audio play in November 2020 on suhreetah.com/teeth, calling the show "a work of genius, compelling and crushing." Since then, suhREEtah's become a Page 73 Semi-Finalist, a MacDowell Fellow, and the recipient of two Michael Kanin National Playwriting Awards (including The Hip Hop Theatre Creator Award and The KCACTF Musical Theatre Award). When suhREEtah's not blowing the roof off the joint with her fabulous one-person symphonies, she's probably binging Paternity Court, teaching herself to rollerblade or sky-gazing, but not necessarily in that order.
