Biography

Stephanie Salzman is a multiplatinum, 4th generation New York songwriter, composer/lyricist who writes musical theater, pop for recording artists & opera/concert works. Current projects include CROSSING OVER (co-writer: Deborah Brevoort) an Amish “hip pop” musical which received a USA Artists recording budget, was selected for ASCAP’S inaugural New Musical Theater Festival at Lied Center, Nebraska and also had development and a reading at CAP 21, NYC. Her pop/rock musical LEFT TO OUR OWN DEVICES was a 2013 Ronald Ruble New Play Award Finalist, readings at the Caryl Crane Youth Theater, Momentum Festival, NYC, and the Pallas Theater in Washington DC. Stephanie’s commercial songs are published by Power Pitch Music & Kobalt Music. She runs Power Pitch Music Studio where she coaches, co-writes, vocal produces, records & develops young artists. She studied opera and composition with Leonardo Balada and Meyer Kupferman. MFA: NYU Musical Theater Program; BFA: Sarah Lawrence: LaGuardia H.S. Alum. Stephanie speaks French, plays tennis & resides in Manhattan with her French husband & their lively daughter, Juliette.
