Biography
Stephanie Chow is a guitarist/bassist/producer/artist specializing in R&B, funk, jazz, indie and roots music.
She graduated from Columbia University in 2023 with degrees in philosophy and jazz studies, studying with Paul Bollenback and Ole Mathisen. During her time in college she immersed herself in NYC’s rich indie scene, playing venues ranging from Terminal 5 to the Symphony Space to Baby’s Alright and racking up over 3,000,000 streams as a session guitarist and producer for artists affiliated with Warner Music Group & Sony Music Entertainment.
On campus she was the guitar chair for Columbia’s historic student-written musical the Varsity Show (alums include Kate McKinnon and Greta Gerwig) and president of Bacchanal, Columbia’s largest music club and organizer of the school’s premiere music festival. She has received recognitions from the American Composers Federation, National Association for Music Educators, Ella Fitzgerald Foundation, Downbeat and more.
