Sophie Manoloff

Biography

I am a 23-year-old New York based trumpet player, doubling on Flugelhorn, Piccolo Trumpet, piano, and vocals. My freelancing career includes subbing on Broadway (Music Man), Broadway touring (Fiddler), 2 Off-Broadway shows, playing for churches, quintet chamber music concerts, rock/funk band cabarets, brass band busking, Smalls Jazz Club trumpet + singing sets, many mainstage shows with the NYU Broadway Orchestra and regional theaters, and 2 prominent summer festivals (EMF & CLOC). As the 4-year Principal Trumpet at NYU, I graduated in May of 2021 with BM degrees in Trumpet Performance and Music Business. I am based in Manhattan, and when on the road for a tour, I still love to produce and participate in various recording projects.
