Biography
Sophie is Lyricist/Librettist and Screenwriter, originally from London UK and now based in NYC.
This year Sophie has been Winner of the Eugene O’Neill National Musical Theatre Conference, Finalist for the Kleban Prize for Lyricism, Write Out Loud and the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award.
Prior to coming to New York Sophie was a member of the Writers Room for the UK's BAFTA-Award-Winning television series, ‘Skins’, and Founder/Director of the acclaimed UK Musical Theatre program, Spirit YPC.
Sophie is currently developing the musical "THE DARK LADY" (as Bookwriter/Lyricist, with Composer Veronica Mansour). This has been developed at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, MT West and the Johnny Mercer Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals.
