Biography

Sarah Tellier holds a Master of Arts degree in Collaborative Piano from the University of Central Florida. Since graduating in 2011, Sarah became an avid teacher, accompanist, and vocal coach in the Orlando area, working with students of all ages and levels in various performing arts organizations.

In 2014, Sarah began working at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts as a Yamaha piano instructor, accompanist, and musical theater teacher. In addition, she helped music direct the yearly Applause Awards as well as the Take it From The Top! summer camp taught by Broadway's Paul Canaan.

Sarah moved to Tampa in 2018 (and again post-Covid in 2021!) to take the role of Collaborative Piano Specialist at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, where she taught piano, musical theater, and voice lessons, accompanied choirs and numerous productions, and music directed PCT productions. In addition to her teaching duties, she also worked as a music director for local schools and theater companies, predominantly Alonso High School, Tampa Preparatory School, freeFall Theatre, American Stage, and mad Theatre of Tampa.

In the summer of 2021, Sarah journeyed to Hancock, NY, where she was a music director and pianist at French Woods Festival of the Arts, working with students from age 7 to age 19 on the following shows: Gypsy, Shrek, Blood Brothers, High School Musical, Schoolhouse Rock, Merrily We Roll Along, Godspell, Crazy for You, and Captain Louie, Jr.

Sarah is currently a proud member of the Theatre and Music Theatre faculty at Viterbo University, where she is a vocal coach, collaborative pianist, music director, pit pianist, and rehearsal pianist. Her move to the university in the Fall of 2024 stated with being the rehearsal pianist for Sweeney Todd, and her first year ended with music directing The SpongeBob Musical in the Spring of 2025!
