Biography
Sarah is a Canadian composer, orchestrator, flautist, and private music teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Music in flute performance and composition from Acadia University in 2022. During her time at Acadia, she wrote the music for three productions and was a section leader in the Acadia University Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. She then moved to New York City to study as a composer in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. During her time at NYU, she was invited to play flute in a variety of musical ensembles such as the Broadway Orchestra, conducted by Ted Sperling. In May, Sarah presented a fully orchestrated table reading of her new musical, “Bend Toward the Light,” which she is writing with book writer and lyricist, Bryce Palmer. She graduated with her MFA last month and is eager to begin working in the industry.
