Sandra Bouissou
Biography
Sandra Bouissou began her violin studies at the age of three with the Suzuki method. She attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College division throughout high school, studying with Bettina Mussumeli. She received her bachelor's at Chapman University as a Henri-Temianka Scholar, studying with Bill Fitzpatrick. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Paul Kantor, Connie Heard, Philip Setzer, Ron Copes, Sarah Chang, Pinchas Zukerman, Cho-Ling Lin, and members of the Juilliard, Pacifica, Cremona, and Telegraph Quartets.
Sandra has spent her summers at music festivals notably at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, The Fontainebleau Festival in France, and three summers at the Aspen Music Festival, studying with Robert Chen and Connie Heard as well as playing in the Aspen Festival Orchestra. Sandra is a master’s student at the Manhattan School of Music studying with Lucie Robert. She currently teaches privately and gigs in New York City.
