Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Rose Pettinelli, and I release music under 'Diana Flwrs'. I went to William Paterson University and I studied classical oboe & jazz saxophone, primarily baritone. I now attend Montclair University, towards a Woodwind Doubling Degree. I play oboe, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and am a jazz (and more) vocalist.

I have played with Keiyaa, JC Hopkins Big Band, Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, and hold positions at the Algonquin Playhouse and Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. I also work at a music studio as a creative director.

As for Diana Flwrs, I have released many singles but my favorite part has been recording live with my band. We do each tune in about one take and I am so grateful and proud of the work we have done. In my compositions, I usually sing and solo on an instrument, whether that be bari sax, flute, tenor sax, even oboe, and then I like to use all different instruments in the horn section. I have had my great friends who play marimba, flute, trombone, cello, organ, trumpet, bongos, and more in these recordings. I am super proud of them and it is one of my favorite things to do...

I’m deeply passionate about creating cross genre music and layering instrumental textures into new, timeless creations. I hope to tour the world as Diana Flwrs with my band, work on other artists' records, and bring my sound to the stage as a side woman in other their bands.

I bring a high level of skill, creativity, versatility, and intentionality to every facet of my musical work, including performance, composition, writing, and improvisation.
