Robin Raisch
Biography
Starting off her musical journey as a pianist and flautist, Robin is entering her second year masters as a conductor at California Baptist University.
Robin spent the summer of 2022 at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival under Dr. Gene Moon, studying standard repertoire and premiering the works of new composers. She also received masterclass style instruction from many of the guest conductors such as Robert Moody, Kalena Bovell, Andrew Crust, and many others.
Robin has conducted works for wind band and orchestra at different workshops including the Cleveland Pops, the University of North Texas, the University of Oregon, and the University of Central Florida. Well-rounded as a conductor, instrumentalist, and administrator, Robin spent the past summer working as the Artist Liaison with the National Repertory Orchestra. While working with the NRO, Robin performed piano with the orchestra for Disney's "The Lion King" in concert and for Anna Throvaldsdottir's "Ro" at the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts. Robin will spend this summer at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival as orchestra manager for the Sewanee Symphony.
As a flautist, Robin has performed in prestigious ensembles such as the World Youth Wind Symphony at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, the 2019 FMEA All State Symphonic Band, the Florida Music Ambassadors 75th Anniversary Tour to Europe and more. Robin graduated from Florida Southern College as a double major in piano and flute performance. Robin currently studies instrumental conducting at California Baptist University under Dr. Gene Moon and Dr. Robert Frelly.
