Rebecca Patterson

Biography

I have had the had the opportunity to perform with a diverse range of ensembles on tenor and bass trombones, euphonium and tuba. I am currently the bass trombonist at Sweeney Todd on Broadways. I have subbed on both the tenor trombone and the bass trombone chair at Aladdin, Wicked, and Funny Girl. You also may have seen me subbing in with the house band at Saturday Night Live. I have a wide variety of performance experience including, The Count Basie Orchestra, Christian McBride's Big Band, Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, The Mingus Big Band, Arturo O'Farrill's Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, Patriot Brass, Lenny Picketts' "A Short March Into The Future", and recently went into the studio with Lauren Marcus. You can also hear my compositions and tenor/bass trombone playing on Ron Wilkins' new album "Trombocalist". I am also have a passion for video game music and worked on the hit game Red Dead Redemption 2 and Jackbox Party Pack “Job Job” I am also a member of Charlie Rosen's 8-bit Big Band. I have an at home studio where I have recorded several projects at home. Most recently I recorded for Heineken's "the Opener" commercial.
