Priscilla Rinehart

Biography

Priscilla Rinehart is a freelance horn player based in New York City. She has performed in orchestras such as The Phantom of the Opera, Camelot, The Metropolitan Opera, The Knights, and Orchestra of St. Luke’s. Priscilla greatly enjoys the genres of contemporary and chamber music, having made appearances with Alarm Will Sound, Sugar Hill Salon, and AMOC (American Modern Opera Company). She is honored to currently be playing in the pit for The Who’s TOMMY on Broadway, and is looking forward to the rest of what 2024 has in store.

Priscilla has many people to thank for their educational support, but special recognition goes to Carolyn Wahl of The Florida Orchestra for teaching her from day one through the present, and to Erik Ralske and Jen Montone (Principal Horns of The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and The Philadelphia Orchestra, respectively), as major mentors during her undergraduate and graduate studies at The Juilliard School.

Motivated by the efforts of many who do advocacy work on a larger scale, Priscilla is working to better support marginalized people inside and outside of performance spaces. She seeks community with those who share a similar vision for the future — a vision that demands action in order to achieve and maintain liberation for everyone.
