Biography
Paloma Sierra is a Puerto Rican writer and director.
Known for championing emerging and established talents alike, Paloma has produced musicals and operas with Olga Iglesias Project, En Garde Arts, White Snake Projects, Project Y Theatre Company, and Theatre Now New York; and developed world premieres at Jermyn Street Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe.
Her award-winning short I AM SOIL BREAKING OFF screened at 15+ international festivals, won the inaugural ¡Tú Cuentas! Cine Youth Fest Grand Prize, and earned her both a Fulbright scholarship and an appointment as Allegheny County’s first Emerging Poet Laureate.
Envisioning a future where multicultural narratives are a celebrated norm, Paloma overcomes language barriers to reflect the cosmopolitan societies we live in.
