Paige Durr

Paige Durr

Biography

Hello! My name is Paige Durr, and I am currently the Drummer for the US National Tour of Six the Musical. I was previously the drummer for Six on the Norwegian Cruiselines Bliss. Before cruising, I lived in Dallas, TX where I was a Percussion Specialist for Mesquite ISD. I gave lessons and taught masterclasses around the area. I was the Assistant Band Director at Broadway High School, where I taught percussion and piano classes. I was also the Percussion Instructor for the James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes for three years. I wrote and arranged music for this group, and for many high schools in the Shenandoah Valley.

I received my Masters in Percussion Performance and my Undergrad in Music Education from James Madison University, where I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Casey Cangelosi, Ms. Laurel Black and Mrs. Amy Birdsong.

I have participated in a few percussion competitions as well. I won second place in the Concert and Marching Categories fo the 2019 Hit Like A Girl Competition. I also won runner up in the 2018 Ted Atkatz Percussion Seminar Mock Audition.

Through all of my educational and performance experiences, I earned a Sponsorship with Vic Firth as a Marching Artist.
