Nia Joy Harvey

Biography

Nia Harvey (she/her) is a NYC-based actress, lyricist, and librettist. She has performed in venues ranging from black box theaters to large stages in the British Virgin Islands. She began her musical theatre writing journey as part of the inaugural MCI cohort in 2020. She has written poems for the A BroaderWay Foundation, and monologues for CPA Theatricals, Inc. She is passionate about telling untold stories, bringing background characters into the spotlight, and uncovering their secrets. She has written a play, “Gabrielle’s Book”; one-act musicals, “The Papillon Waltz” and “The Magical Macaroons”; and various cabaret songs (including a few she composed).
