Biography

Morgan E. is a versatile, award-nominated music professional whose work spans music direction, composition, arranging, production and education. With a career rooted in artistic excellence, their credits extend across major regional theatres and opera companies throughout the United States. In 2022, they were recognized with a Suzi Bass Award nomination for Outstanding Music Direction for their work on Fannie at True Colors Theatre (Atlanta, GA).

Morgan E. recently completed the piano/vocal score for Safronia, a new opera written by avery r. young premiering in concert at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on April 17–18, 2026.

In addition to their work as a conductor and performer, Morgan E. is highly skilled in DAW-based production, score preparation, orchestration and music education. Outside of theatre, they are the founder and artistic lead of MEaux Vibes [mō vibes], a genre-blending collective that moves fluidly through jazz, R&B, gospel, soul and beyond, creating spaces for authentic musical expression, collaboration and community. Through their talents, they are dedicated to creating transformative musical experiences that honor tradition while embracing innovation across all art forms.
