Biography

Miriam Pultro is an actor/singer/writer in NYC currently developing "Glass Town," a rock requiem starring the Brontë siblings, which premieres online in March 2021. Her indie folk song cycle, "Comings & Goings," premiered in January 2020, and she also wrote "Stardust," a choral Renaissance prog rock fairy tale musical, and "Quarantine: The Musical," an ever-evolving song cycle on pandemic themes. She was commissioned for NYFA's autumn 2020 song cycle "Not Working," was signed as a singer to EMI Music (Manhattan Records) with vocal group Bell’Aria, and has performed with Lance Horne's Mondays in the Club Collective (Club Cumming, Joe’s Pub). Her work has been seen at The Tank, The Green Room 42, and Chapel Off Chapel (Melbourne, VIC). Recent performances: Maureen in RENT (The Secret Theatre); short film “Genesis” (writer/producer/star, 2021 festival circuit). Regional: Beauty and the Beast, Assassins. TV: “Pokémon” (Mewtwo/others), wrote/directed/starred in award-winning indie series “Mythos.” She founded Et Alia, a femme-fronted and -focused arts organization that provides free arts resources and education.
