mesmi is a trailblazer in music—a WOC Asian-American producer/artist/composer based in Los Angeles, she is passionate about community and intersectional justice, uplifting her fellow female, AAPI & BIPOC communities, and believes in the power of connection through culture, music and the arts.

After achieving placements in competitions like the International Songwriting Competition and GRAMMY Amplifier, she recently released her album "Slow Bloom," which the press described as "powerful, epic, yet fragile and beautiful." A self-produced/engineered project released during COVID, the LP has since racked up 275K+ plays on streaming worldwide.

Constantly growing, mesmi's skills expanded from her singer/songwriter origins into music production and recording, and in 2022 she was honored to be mentored by producer 9th Wonder (Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak) as part of Sophia Chang's Unlock Her Potential 2022 Cohort. Her current projects continue to see the evolution of her versatile gifts as a songwriter, producer and musician, combining her classical piano background with her love for jazz, orchestral music and experimental sound, as well as influences from folk, soul and pop.

With her current focus of working with artists in the studio, mesmi uses her years of experience as an indie artist herself and WOC musician to help others' visions come to life and ensure a creative space that is vibrant, safe and nourishing. mesmi offers services in music and audio from her studio in North Hollywood, VATOCA Studios, where she provides mixing, vocal production, music production and composition. A multi-talented creative with a wide background in visual art and marketing, mesmi also provides services on the many aspects of multimedia and career, actively working with artists and entities in visuals, branding and consulting as well.

In between her work for others and her own artistic projects, mesmi runs SOUND OFFF (formerly AsiAM), an online space dedicated to highlighting Asian Americans in music, and one that started out of her own recognition of the vast AsAm underrepresentation in the industry.

In all her work, mesmi hopes to create in ways that are authentic, daring and illuminating.
