Biography
Melody Valdez is an NYC-based Music Director, Arranger, and Pianist. She recently worked on Once Upon a Mattress as Music Assistant. Favorite credits include subbing on Keys 2 for Lempicka, traveling as AMD/Keys 3 for SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical National Tour, and music assisting on Monsoon Wedding at St. Ann’s Warehouse. Additional music directing credits include Godspell, Cabaret, and A Chorus Line. Melody has also enjoyed working with AfterWork Theater, Berkeley Playhouse Conservatory, and National Asian Artists Project’s Broadway Community Chorus. She enjoys working on new musicals, and has worked on readings/workshops of Hearts Beat Loud, A Wrinkle In Time, and The Lunchbox. Melody is proudly Filipina-American.
