Biography
Mary Grace is a pianist, vocal coach, and music director. She is currently Associate Music Director/Associate Conductor on the Pretty Woman: The Musical 2nd National Tour. Previously: Keys 2 on the North American Tour of CATS. She has also served on the creative team of many local musical theatre productions of 9 to 5, The Drowsy Chaperone, 25th Annual...Spelling Bee, and Sister Act (Theatre Baton Rouge), including Theatre Baton Rouge's 2018 production of Little Shop of Horrors (Keyboard 1) that won the Broadway World New Orleans Production of the Decade Award. Other credits include Anything Goes, Cinderella, and Mamma Mia! (MI). Mary Grace credits her ability to play in an array of styles to her experience growing up in Louisiana's diverse music culture.
Outside of the theater, Mary Grace is the founder of Gumbo de Musique: The Cajun French Art Song Project, an award-winning initiative dedicated to the broader revitalization movement of the Cajun French language. She is 1/2 of the Barefoot Duo, a chamber group focused on recording and performing works for tuba and piano by underrepresented composers.
