Mami Matsuura is a versatile pianist. She is a sought-after accompanist and performer on an array of projects in many different styles of music. She graduated from Berklee College of Music in December 2019. Mami was born in Yokohama, Japan. At age five she began formal piano studies. While she began with classical music and still practices it, she shifted her focus to jazz when she entered Berklee.
She entered Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and was an awarded pianist and student at Berklee.
Mami was selected as a member of the Piano Department Concert and was awarded Jazz Performance Award while at Berklee. She is also working as a musical theater music director and accompanist.
Mami is currently working as a Keyboard Conductor for "Poupelle of Chimney Town," a new musical based on the bestselling Japanese picture book and launching off-broadway theatre in 2021.
