Madie Lawrence
Biography
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Madie has been playing trumpet for more than 10 years. They graduated from Alexander Mackenzie High School in 2021 from the ARTS Mackenzie program with a specialization in music, and is currently in their 3rd year at Wilfrid Laurier University studying under the direction of Guy Few.
Madie has competed as a soloist in many competitions, and holds the title of National Gold Medalist from the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as the 1st place award from the American Guild of Music, and is an International Music Festival and Competition Gold Medalist.
Recent theatre credits include “The Wizard of Oz”, “Oliver”, and “Shrek” (Mackenzie Music), “Fame” (Laurier Musical Theatre), “Hello, Dolly!”, “The Music Man”, “Trial By Jury”, “H.M.S. Pinafore”, “9 to 5”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar” (College Light Opera Company). AMD and MD credits include AMD for “Broadway Our Way: Young At Heart” (KWMP), as well as MD for “Legally Blonde” (Laurier Musical Theatre).
