Biography
Mackenzie Adamick is a Boston-based Composer and Sound Designer. Her previous selected composition credits include Pericles and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Santa Cruz Shakespeare), The Winter’s Tale and Macbeth (2024 Elliot Norton Award - Outstanding Sound Design) (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company), King Lear (Island Shakespeare Festival), and Flora & Ulysses (Wheelock Family Theatre). Selected design credits include Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, How I Learned to Drive, As You Like It, Coriolanus, Let the Right One In (Actors’ Shakespeare Project), Mother Mary (Boston Playwrights' Theatre), Tartuffe (The Hub Theater Company of Boston), Summer 1976, A Christmas Carol, Outside Mullingar, The Mountaintop (Lean Ensemble Theater). Her work has also been heard at Greater Boston Stage Company, Boston University, and Suffolk University. She enjoys work that merges her music composition skills with her theatrical sonic storytelling.
Mackenzie holds an MFA in Sound Design from Boston University and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Carolina University. She is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local USA 829 and TDSCA.
