Biography
Lily Roof is a multi-wind performer studying at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is an active freelance musician in the Southeast Michigan area, with experience working in musical theatre, orchestra, folk music, jazz, and rock. She grew up in a musical family and primarily played oboe, but quickly got into the world of multi-winds, often appearing playing tenor saxophone in folk and rock bands around campus. She has recently performed with the University of Michigan Musical Theatre program, MUSKET, and the Mostly Modern Festival. Lily also has a substantial amount of session work experience, including a documentary soundtrack for PBS. She is experienced in live sound engineering, most notably running main stage sound at folk festival Holler Fest. Outside of performing, Lily works in arts administration with University Musical Society, Ann Arbor Summer Festival, and Swing Ann Arbor.
