Biography
Lexa Ornes is a music director originally from the Bay Area, but currently finishing up their studies in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California. She is a Theatre major with an Acting Emphasis and a Musical Theatre minor. Lexa was introduced to the world of music directing when she signed on to assistant music directing the world premiere of Unprecedented, a movie musical about life during the pandemic. Before Unprecedented, they had little MD experience but was an avid singer and competitive choir member with Silicon Valley's iSing Girl Choir. After her experience on Unprecedented, Lexa went on to MD various full shows and cabarets, including The Addams Family, Fun Home, and USC's Queer Cabaret. She has worked within the music directing world with her peers as well as age ranges from 1st-12th grade. They also music coordinated for Musical Theatre Repertory, USC's student-run musical theatre company, which they were president of for 2023.
Outside of music directing, Lexa has passions for directing, performing, and theatre administration. She recently completed writing her first full-length parody musical "10 to 10"!!
