Biography

Lauren Olivola is a Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania-based musician who taught grades 4 and 5 instrumental music in New Jersey public school for 8 years. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey in January 2015 and received her Master of Music in Classical Instrumental Music Performance on French horn at New Jersey City University as of January 2024. She was proud to be a part of the Maestra Mentee Class for 2023-2024 under the mentorship of Rachel Drehmann and a proud participant of Montclair State University's first annual Broadway Institute in July 2024.

Her recent and upcoming pit orchestra credits include "James and the Giant Peach Jr.," "Oklahoma!", "Willy Wonka," "Young Frankenstein," "On the Town", "Les Miserables" , "The Who's Tommy", "Into the Woods", "The Wiz", "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "West Side Story", "The Producers", "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", "42nd Street", and more. She has performed for pit orchestra opportunities since 2012 for various high schools and community theater across northern and Central New Jersey as well as for Montclair State University.

Outside of pit orchestra, Lauren has also performed in concert bands and orchestras across New Jersey and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Lauren also made her first big band appearance in December 2024 with the Marty Hoff Big Band performing French horn and auxiliary percussion. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians for Local 16-248 in Paterson, NJ and Local 45 in Lehigh Valley, PA.
