Leanne "L-Stringz" Holmes
During the early stages of her playing, L-Stringz had become a member of several orchestras including, Dunwoody High School Symphony Orchestra (where she was concertmaster for 2 years), DeKalb Youth Symphony, and Emory Youth Symphony. In 2012, L-Stringz started transitioning to playing Hip-Hop and RnB which kick started her into starting her solo career as “L-Stringz” where she has done recordings and performed for multiple artist including Wale, Curren$y, TKnCa$h, 50 Cent, Ashanti Floyd “The Mad Violinist”, and 2Chainz.
Some of her most noted performances include: Ryan Cameron Foundation Father Daughter Dance, National Anthem for the Atlanta Dream, Atlanta Hawks vs Miami Heat Basketball Game, Bottle Signing for “50 Cent”, a sold out show with the Illharmonic Orchestra at the Kennedy Center for New Years Eve, National Anthem for Honda Battle of the Bands, and performing the Black National Anthem for the CIAA tournament in addition to a Half-Time Performance. L-Stringz has also performed internationally, with several tours in Europe in the countries of Austria, Italy, and Germany.
Leanne “L-Stringz” Holmes is a Hip-Hop/RnB violinist from Atlanta, GA. Classically, trained for close to two decades, L-Stringz has performed for and with some of the top venues/artists to date including: The Atlanta Hawks, The Atlanta Dream, The Harlem Globetrotters, Honda Battle of the Bands, 2Chainz, 50 Cent, 85 South Show, and more. Her passion for violin started at her elementary school to serve as an outlet for bullying and racism she faced from her time in school, and it was in high school where she created “L-Stringz.
Additionally, L-Stringz has been featured on shows such as Married to Medicine, and “STAR” on FOX as well as programs for the NFL, WNBA, CIAA, New York Fashion Week, and Rolling Out “Sisters with Super Powers” series. Outside of her performing, L-Stringz is passionate about children in the arts and teaches private violin lessons in her spare time as well as donates music supplies to orchestral programs in need.
