Defiant Requiem, Asheville - Co-producer
Brought together diverse organizations and individuals in June 2019 in a groundbreaking social justice initiative promoting awareness, community engagement, and advocacy through the arts. Forged strategic partnerships including the Asheville Symphony Orchestra, Carolina Jews for justice, Communities in Schools, UNCA, and more.
• Led fundraising efforts, securing $250K including funding from grants, foundations, and individual donors
• Developed and nurtured local, naGonal, and regional relationships with foundations, NPO’s, and corporations
• Built a diverse community chorus of 100+ members, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose
• Facilitated access to the program by providing 200 tickets to local youth and families, promoting inclusivity
