Biography
Kirsten Nordland is a dynamic teaching-artist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to social impact, she brings depth and versatility to every role. She currently is a private voice teacher, acting teaching artist, and is staff vocalist at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains.
Recent performances include Nerone in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea at BGSU Opera Theatre, Stewardess in Jonathan Dove's Flight with NUOVA Vocal Arts, and Ursula in Berlioz's Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare Opera Theatre. Nordland premiered the World Premiere of Amalia Crevani's "The Dark Place" in Minneapolis, MN with SongSlam.
From Italy to Canada, Kirsten's international experience has honed her artistry. She is equally at home on the opera stage as she is in the digital realm, where she creates line-art portraits and advocates for social change.
In the future she hopes to collaborate to make opera accessible and relevant to everyone.
