Biography
Kiara Negroni-Martinez (she/her) is a New York City–based Writer, Lyricist, & Composer. She received her BFA from New York University and her Master’s degree from Berklee School of Music, and is an alum of Playwrights Horizons Theater School, where she trained as a performer, director, producer, writer, and production designer specialized in sound. Recent performances include a staged reading at Theater 80 of Without Rule of Law written by Michaela Jeffery, directed by Mia Pak.
Her sound credits include Powerline Road written by Michael Finke (Mixer/ASD, Theater Now) and Party at the End of the World, an adaptation of The Cherry Orchard (Sound Designer, Columbia University). As a guitarist, she has served as both a music director and pit musician, bringing her skills to a range of productions and new works. Additional theaters/spaces she has worked with include The Shed, The Tank, AMC, Ars Nova, NYU Tisch, and The Brick.
Kiara currently developing an original musical titled "The Last House in Wyoming" which has undergone it's first showcase performance at Powerstation at Berklee NYC.
