Biography
Hi! My name is Katy and I am woodwind doubler living in NYC. (saxophones, clarinets, and flutes). I have performed with national tours such as “Chicago”, and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, I have performed in Off Broadway shows, “Sugar” and “Alan Turing and the Queen of the Night” and have performed at several regional theaters including Ogunquit Playhouse! I have enjoyed playing with several orchestras in the tri-state area and at numerous cabaret venues throughout the city.
I have performance degrees from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (B.F.A. in Multiple Woodwind Performance) and Montclair State University (M.M. in Multiple Woodwind Performance). My education offered me intense study to a diverse style of music allowing me to become a versatile performer.
In addition to musical theater playing, I also perform on Irish tin whistles and sing traditional Irish tunes. Recently, I have been in the L.A. area more often and have started to explore music recording in tv/film.
I love meeting new folks and connecting so please say hi!
