Kasey Blezinger
Biography
Kasey Blezinger is a drummer and percussionist performing in New York’s musical theatre and rock/pop scenes with a background in contemporary chamber music and orchestral percussion.
Kasey is currently a percussion sub at Aladdin and has performed with AfterWork Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre Festival, Musical Theatre Factory, Kidz Theatre.
She has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Feinsteins/54 Below, Green Room 42, Laurie Beechman Theatre, TheaterRow, Ars Nova, Theater for the New City, John Cullum Theatre (American Theatre of Actors), Duane Park, Roulette Intermedium and many more! Credits include Broadway, Off-Broadway, Community Theatre, Cabarets/Concerts, Podcasts, and Commercial Filming.
Kasey is also the drummer for Tenderheart Bitches, a queer rock band based in Brooklyn. The band performs frequently in the greater NYC-area and hosts a regular live-band karaoke night entitled Queeraoke.
As a part of her work in the contemporary music scene, Kasey is a member and co–founder of contemporary percussion trio Troika. As a soloist, as a member of Troika, Kasey has commissioned Phong Tran, Aaron Locklear, and Quinn Collins. Troika is featured on Jason Treuting’s Nine Numbers album and Darian Donovan Thomas’ Individuate.
Kasey works at Carnegie Hall as the Part-Time Coordinator for Ensemble Connect.
