Biography
Julian Sterling is a versatile pianist and composer, interested in different idioms and different genres, captivated by art music, popular music including songwriting, as well as jazz and musical theater. They have composed works for various solo instruments, small and large vocal and instrumental chamber ensembles, as well as music for symphony orchestra.
Julian graduated from Tulane University in 2022 with a BFA in music composition, where they studied with Barbara Jazwinski, Ashlin Parker, Jesse McBride, and Maxim Samarov.
