Biography
Julia Ross (she/her/hers) is a DMV-based vocal coach, music director, and composer interested in arts administration. She currently works with Imagination Stage (Bethesda, MD) as a teaching artist and Theatre for Young Audiences composer. She is also a local substitute choir director/church pianist.
Born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, Julia first fell in love with musical theatre in middle school. In high school, she was involved in sixteen community theatre productions, finding a passion for music direction, vocal arranging, and new works development along the way. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and received a Bachelor of Professional Music, concentrating in Music Business, Musical Theatre Writing, and Contemporary Writing and Production, and minored in Musical Theatre Conducting.
