Julia Olson is a Stamps and James Scholar in the class of 2027 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, studying oboe performance and minoring in business. She has played in both orchestra and band settings and aspires to enter a career in oboe performance and arts administration. Julia is passionate about conducting and directing and has attended New York University's Summer Intensive in Musical Theater Conducting during the summer of 2022. She has also been a part of the Juilliard Summer Winds intensive. This summer, Julia interned at Broadway in Chicago as a Summer Concert Production Assistant and worked as a counselor at the Crossroads Drum Major Camp.
