Joey Joseph-Jubayr
Biography
Joey Joseph-Jubayr is an orchestrator, music director, and reed doubler located in Charlotte North Carolina. They have music directed and conducted productions of The Willard Suitcases by Julianne Wick-Davis, and Robinhood: The True Adventures of Maid Marian by Rene Pfister at the Berklee College of Music, as well as Boston University on Broadway's production of Little Shop of Horrors by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
Joey has contributed original orchestrations to many different projects including Iscariot by Sophie Kim, The Willard Suitcases by Julianne Wick-Davis, and Playing Dead by Neil Klein.
With 12 years of flute experience, and 8 years of doubling experience, Jubayr has played for many productions including Boston University on Broadway's productions of The Drowsy Chaperone, and Seussical, Berklee's Curtain Up!, And SuperHuman Arts' production of Bernarda Alba.
Currently, Joey is the Music Directer and President-to-be of Berklee's SuperHuman Arts; a theater group dedicated to uplifting female, gender nonconforming, and trans voices in musical theater and the performing arts.
