Joely Zuker
Biography
Joely Zuker (ASCAP, Maestra, SCL, DGA) is a NYC-based musical theatre composer/lyricist, bookwriter, arranger, orchestrator, TV songwriter, and storyteller. Joely graduated from the New Musical Inc.'s CORE Curriculum for Musical Theatre Writing program where her 15-minute musical, The High Wire, premiered in 2019. She co-wrote Free The Fish, an original one-act musical, which premiered at the 2020 (Virtual) Hollywood Fringe Festival. Her works have been accepted into contests such as the Equity Library Theater of New York 2021 Virtual Play Festival (Threesome) and Manhattan Rep’s 2021 Stories Film Festival (Free the Fish). Her songs have also been featured in the Emmy-nominated animated show, Robot Chicken. She recently graduated from BerkleeNYC in the inaugural class with a Master’s Degree in Writing & Design for Musical Theatre. She’s making her 54 Below debut as both a writer and co-producer in February 2023, presenting work from her new musical, “J.O.Y.” in the first New Writers Berklee alum showcase “Steppin’ Out.” Please follow @joelyzuker on Instagram and/or email [email protected] for additional inquiries about her work.
