Biography
Singer/Songwriter Jodie Fox’s expansive vocal range allows for depth and versatility in her original songs. She has played piano from the age of five, became a self-taught guitarist, and learned ukulele over the years. She writes her own music with genres spanning from theatrical ballads to folk/indie rock to instrumental chill wave. Jodie is a prolific writer and poet; she won 1st Place at the Southwest Florida Poetry Slam in 2021. She performs live theater and has appeared in numerous stage plays and musicals. Jodie has studied songwriting with Emmy Award winner Mike Meiers and is currently being mentored by Berklee award winning educator, musician, and producer Joseph Capalbo. She recently had two sync music placements with Higher Ground and featured on the Life Academy YouTube Channel. Jodie has been featured in Bold Journey magazine as well as Canvas Rebel magazine. She teachers Songwriting Classes and Slam Poetry workshops at Arts Bonita. Her unique blend of poetic lyrics, smooth vocals, and vast array of dynamics invite the listener to become swept away in the story of the song
