Jesse Timm
Biography
Jesse Timm (b. 1997) is a nonbinary guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Ukiah, California. They graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music with a dual B.M. in Jazz and Classical Composition. In Boston they premiered “Can’t Go Back Up The Slide” for piano, e. bass, and tape at the Boston Conservatory, used Max/MSP to create a text-to-melody plugin while sound designing Central Square Theater’s Ada and the Engine, had pieces read by the JACK and Mivos Quartets and took lessons with David Lang and Billy Childs. Their work, volunteer and paid, has included live and studio audio engineering; record producing; audio editing; playing and directing in pit bands; music transcription, preparation, and engraving; commissioned composing and arranging for soloists and small ensembles; sound design.
