Biography
Jesse Timm (b. 1997) is a nonbinary arranger/orchestrator, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Ukiah, California. They graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee College of Music with a dual B.M. in Jazz and Classical Composition. Most recently, Jesse arranged/orchestrated and produced the debut album "Whiplash" from Jobi Ricco (NPR Favorite New Musicians 2023). Currently crew at Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theater, they have played numerous shows at 54 Below and Green Room 42 and have worked as an audio technician for Emanuel Ax (Museum of Jewish Heritage), Pioneers Go East Collective (BAM, the LGBT Center), and the 14th St. YMCA. In Boston they premiered “Can’t Go Back Up The Slide” for piano, e. bass, and tape at the Boston Conservatory, used Max/MSP to create a text-to-melody plugin while sound designing Central Square Theater’s Ada and the Engine, had pieces read by the JACK and Mivos Quartets and took lessons with David Lang and Billy Childs. Their work has included live and studio audio engineering; record producing; audio editing; playing and directing in pit bands; music transcription, preparation, and engraving; commissioned composing and arranging for soloists and small ensembles; sound design.
