They/Them
Biography
Jessie Ong is a junior studying at New York University for Instrumental Performance (Percussion), pursuing Music Direction at the piano with extensive experience as a pit musician (percussion, piano, drum kit).
As a collaborative pianist, they’ve been lucky to work with organizations such as NYU Lamplighters and West 4th Stage Co. in and out of school as a Music Direction. Highlights include cabarets at The Green Room 42, NYU’s Iris Cantor Theatre, and studying Music Preparation under Maestra mentor Stephanie Evans.
Most recently, they had the honor of Piano-Conducting the workshop of 'Powerless', a new musical, and playing Synthesizer/Rehearsal Piano for Make Lemonade Production's production of 'Into The Woods' at the Flea Theatre.
Between percussion, piano, teaching, and watching shows, Jess is devoted to discovering new things every day and making as much theatre as they can!
