Jennie Fahn
Biography
Jennie Fahn (Librettist) is a writer/actor. She is currently the bookwriter/lyricist for BRIS AMISS! THE MUSICAL, a murder-mystery-farce, which she is writing with composer Mary Ann McSweeney. Her latest one-woman show, UNDER THE JELLO MOLD, premiered at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival where it won Best Solo Performance, a Producer’s Encore Award and was named Pick of the Fringe. The show is a follow-up to YOU MUTHA! A ONE-MOTHER SHOW, which ran for two years in Los Angeles and was featured in the 2005 N.Y. Fringe Festival.
On screen, you can see Jennie in the films AMERICA’S FAMILY, MARRIAGE MATERIAL, GLORIA BELL, SPINNING MAN, and MUSE (all available on various streaming channels) and on TV episodes of THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND (AMC), GAMES PEOPLE PLAY (BET), I’M DYING UP HERE (Showtime), and ONE DAY AT A TIME (Netflix). Or, if you don’t blink much, you might catch her on THE MIDDLE, HEROES, WITHOUT A TRACE, THE BERNIE MAC SHOW, MY NAME IS EARL, WILL AND GRACE and BECKER. Among her LA theater appearances, she has shared the stage with Neil Patrick Harris in AMADEUS (at the Hollywood Bowl), Eric Anderson in THE WILD PARTY (at the Alex Theater), and Lucie Arnaz in WONDERFUL TOWN (Reprise!). She is the writer of the short films JERRY and BREAK, and the writer/co-star (with Tippi Hedren) of the short TEA WITH GRANDMA, directed by her husband, Jonathan, with whom she loves to collaborate. Together, they have two sons, Harry and Sammy, and two dogs, Addie and Charlie.
